Share Your Screen for Tech Help on Android: illustration

Explaining a settings screen over the phone is painful: "tap the thing with the three lines, no, the other one". Screen sharing fixes that, because the AI can see the same screen you do and tell you exactly where to tap.

What screen sharing is for

  • Finding a hidden setting on your phone.
  • Working out why an app misbehaves or what an error message means.
  • Walking through a router or smart-TV settings page.
  • Filling in a complicated form or following a setup wizard.

How it works on Android

  1. In LiveFix AI, tap Share screen. You will see a short explanation the first time.
  2. Android asks for your permission to record the screen. Choose the entire screen (or just the app) and confirm.
  3. LiveFix AI takes a snapshot every couple of seconds while another app is on screen and keeps the most recent few.
  4. Switch to the app you need help with, then come back to LiveFix AI and ask your question. The AI uses the last screen it saw.

A notification and Android's own recording indicator show whenever sharing is on. You can stop it from the app or the notification at any moment. Sharing also stops by itself after ten minutes, and the captured frames are deleted when it ends.

Try saying
  • “Which setting turns off notifications for this app?”
  • “What does this error message mean, and how do I get past it?”
  • “Where do I change the Wi-Fi channel on this page?”

Keep it private

What about iPhone?

Screen sharing is currently an Android feature. On iPhone and iPad, you can still use the camera, voice and photos, and you can take a screenshot and attach it as a photo to show the AI a settings screen.
